Our story
La Lune Boréale was born from the desire to promote local biodiversity by offering delicate and elegant jewelry, handcrafted from natural elements.
Our mission is to raise awareness among our clients about the richness and fragility of our local ecosystems.
Our beginnings
La Lune Boréale began in November 2024. Our first products were earrings made from ruffed grouse feathers hunted by myself and my boyfriend. To show the utmost respect for the animal, the feathers were collected for future creations.
After doing some research (and thinking really hard), I finally came up with the idea of making earrings with feathers. I contacted a local tourist shop near me to see if they would be interested in these products, and they said yes! So I increased production.
Feathers are beautiful, but they're a very niche product. Through further research, I eventually stumbled upon UV resin! That's where the idea of taking dried flowers and turning them into jewelry was born.
Out of desire, I also ended up making jewelry using only semi-precious stones.
And so, all the ingredients were brought together to make La Lune Boréale what it is today!

My name is Lara and I am the creator behind La Lune Boréale.
I'm from Québec and I'm also a biology student. I'm currently in college (I'm finishing this winter!). Nature has always fascinated me, and I'm so happy to have found a way to incorporate it into my art. Going outside and into the woods is very important to me.
Besides jewelry, I've been painting and drawing since I was 5 years old. I've always been a creative person (it's just how I am). Art has always been a way for me to escape. I would describe myself as passionate, perfectionist (sometimes too much so...) and curious.
Ah! And also, I love talking to people! That's why you'll often find me at markets in Québec City.
